My Brazilian friends must forgive me, but I will post in English this time. The reason is I have just connected to very friendly people from Mars who say they'd love to understand what I write. Well, maybe it's exactly because they don't that these folks are so curious about me.
You may be wondering what the hack I am talking about! I apologize for the joke in case it has offended someone, but the people I am talking about are the writers group at Mars Hill Church in the US. Guys, thank you very much for having me in!
So for you to know, the name of this blog is Floor 7 and a half. Has anyone seen "John Malkovich"? Well, this space is meant to be like a small door to my head so you know how I feel and somehow what is my cosmovision. Having to write in English is quite a challenge, given it is not at all my mother tongue. For this reason I apologize in advance for the mistakes and mainly for the difficulty it may be to understand my writing style.
How about starting with some facts and figures? First, Brasil is spelled with "s" and not "z", which may be quite surprising... (laughs). The pronunciation, though, remains the same. We're a large country, discovered by the Portuguese in 1500. More than 180 million people live all over the 8.5 million square kilometers of land. We're also the largest Catholic country in the world, but Evangelicals have grown a lot in the last 20 years and there are about 25 million of us. Which is good and bad because at the same time people get used to us, our message has been mistaken by one that only asks for money. All pastors and churches are rich in Brasil, they say.
As time goes by I intend to post more frequently in English so we can share ideas in this space.
That is all for today. Thank you very much once again! You're not of this world!!
